Exclusive: Mumbai, Bengaluru put on high alert over intel of terrorists using chemical weapons to attack

Mumbai and Bengaluru have been put on high alert after a man from Bengaluru, identified as Dilip Das sent an email informing police officials that terrorists might use chemical weapons in their attack.

Security in both the cities has been increased by several notches and police officials are investigation the matter.

Units involved in the investigation are crime branch, anti-terrorist squad, state intelligence unit and cyber police.

According to sources, this is not the first time that Dilip has intimated the police about an eminent attack.

Das has been apprehended by the Bengaluru police as part of their investigation.
