If Mika Singh performs for Pak, will welcome him in MNS style: Amey Khopkar

Raj Thackeray led Maharashtra Navanirman Sena (MNS) has stirred another controversy and caught in it is Bollywood singer Mika Singh.

Singh drew flak for referring to Pakistan as "Hamara Pakistan" in a promotional video of his upcoming event in Chicago and Houston.

In the video, Mika says that he's 'looking forward' to celebrate the Independence Day of India and Pakistan. "15 August ko humara Hindustan azaad hua tha aur 14 ko humara Pakistan," he says in the video.

The singer drew lot of flak for this on Twitter and the MNS has threatened him saying that he won't be allowed to perform in Mumbai.

"This is not request, it's a threat to Mika. When Pakistan is attacking Indian soldiers then how can he even think of performing for them? If he performs there we will welcome him in Mumbai in MNS style," Ameya Khopkar of the MNS said.

MNS has always taken a strong stance against Pakistan and Pakistan's artists. They are of the opinion that actors from the neighbouring state should not be allowed to perform in the country unless the border situation is better.

They had threatened the producers of films 'Raees' and 'Aye Dil Hai Mushkil' for casting Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan respectively.

"I want to warn producers and sponsors if they hire Mika Singh after he performs for Pakistan then they will be our next target," said Amey Khopkar.
