DRI seizes 814 Kg Marijuana meant for New Year parties in Hyderabad

After seizing 132 Kg of psychotropic drug Alprazilam on Friday, the Sleuth of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) Hyderabad on Saturday seized 814 kg of Marijuana from the city's outskirts.
How the raid took place
- The consignment was meant for the New Year parties and was en route to Hyderabad and further to Mumbai.
- Based on the specific inputs, the DRI team zeroed in on a truck bearing Chattisgarh registration entering into Sujata Garden farmhouse in Hyderabad.
- The smugglers ran away from the spot, leaving behind the drug haul, when the DRI sleuth tried to nab them. The smugglers were sitting in a truck and in a Travera car.
- During the search the officers found 270 packets of high quality Marijuana from inside the truck, 20 packets from Tavera car while 60 more packets were found in one of the roomS of the farmhouse.
- The approximate market value of the seized drug is Rs 81.44 lakh.
- Team is questioning the watchman of the farmhouse and preparing to question the owner while also trying to identify those who fled during the raid.
