Ashraf, a 12th standard student, lived with his mother and sister. He went missing on 27 February. But he's still active on Instagram, on which he has over 7 thousand followers. He messages a few of his relatives.

Ashraf's 12th standard exams were supposed to begin on February 28, family sources said. A day before, he was normal, and preparing for the tests. But late that night, he left to get something from a nearby shop, and never returned.

"He left home on February 27. Till today he has not returned home. He still sometimes messages on Instagram. He doesn't have a single rupee with him. Don't know what he might be doing and where he is," his uncle Fayyaz said.

When asked if he may have joined anti-social elements, Fayyaz said, "If he has joined anti-social elements than we won't accept him. We don't want him. But I suspect he is into some serious trouble."

ASHRAF 'SPENT MOST OF HIS TIME SURFING THE INTERNET'

"His friend Saqib owns one cyber cafe where he used to spend most of his time surfing the Internet. His whole day would be spent in the cyber cafe," Fayyaz said.

Police are questioning Saqib everyday, and are examining computers and other electronic equipment from his cafe.

Fayyaz said Ashraf's mother was admitted to a hospital, and that the condition of the family wasn't very good.

"We just appeal that he returns home soon," he said.
