Maharashtra minister drives truck to clear traffic in Jalgaon
The minister's act brought a respite for several commuters who were stranded because of the reckless truck driver.
In a strange turn of events, a Maharashtra minister alighted from his car and drove a truck in Jalgaon. The minister took the wheels after the 14-wheeler truck was parked in the middle of the road. The inebriated driver of the truck dozed off disrupting the traffic.
Girish Mahajan, the water resources minister, who was on his way spotted the truck.
Mahajan later climbed in the heavy vehicle and drove it, to park it away from the road. Minister's act brought a respite for several commuters who were stranded because of the reckless truck driver.
While Mahajan was driving the vehicle, his security staff were seen walking along.
Several commuters, who were suprised at the sight, even captured the incident on their mobile phone cameras. The locals heaped laurels on the minister.
Following the incident, the local police rushed to the spot and arrested the truck driver.
