Arya will visit the centre on July 29 in an attempt to determine the chain of events and to find out what happened during Scindia's visit.

Scindia, a Member of Parliament from Guna, has refuted the allegations and has also served the Madhya Pradesh BJP president Nand Kumar Singh Chouhan with a legal notice, threatening criminal action against him.

Scindia also raised the matter in Lok Sabha saying that those leveling such allegations against him should give up their legislative/parliamentary memberships if they could not prove their claims.

The Bharatiya Janata Party, on the other hand, has turned the issue into a full-blow political affair, with party members burning Scindia's effigy at all district headquarters in Madhya Pradesh.

The Congress responded in kind, burning the BJP state president's effigy at district headquarters.
