Looks like internal war in DMK is intensifying after the RK nagar debacle where the party came third.

Elder son of M. Karunanidhi, M K Alagiri, who was expelled from DMK, has lashed out at M K Stalin who is the working president of the party.

Speaking to India Today, he blamed Stalin for continuous failure of DMK to win polls since he took charge of the party. He also praised TTV Dhinakaran for winning the bypoll.

"One who opposed them had worked really hard. Others haven't worked up to the mark. They have worked just for the name sake. DMK didn't work and its strength is reducing. As Karunanidhi was inactive for the last 4 years, DMK's strength is decreasing. After Stalin became the working president, it has become even worse."

Speaking further, Alagiri also said that DMK has lost its respect. "Nobody respects DMK. DMK lost its deposit and they should accept their loss. One cannot say it's money that won and democracy that lost. Party cadres votes were even bought for money is what Duraimurugan had said, which means they ate torturing party cadres. Anna and Kalaignar had become CMs and that's because of the hard work of the party cadres. They have also become MLA or Ministers because of party cadres. It is wrong to say that cadres voted for other for money. Party should take action," Alagiri added.

On being in touch with Kanimozhi and 2g verdict, Alagiri said "my wishes to them."

Alagiri had been expelled from the DMK and was completely sidelined. Now with Karunanidhi and DMK losing elections, Alagiri has become more vocal. "I haven't taken any decision about my political entry again. I have asked DMK to rectify their mistakes. If they ask me to come back, I will join them. They threw me out and I haven't done any mistakes. I spoke for the same cadre even that time and so do so this time as well."
