Now, LSD biscuits seized in Hyderabad, 9 arrested

While the Special Investigation Team of Excise and Prohibition Department of Telangana is busy investigating the link between Tollywood and recently busted drug racket, the Commissioner Task Force of Hyderabad on Wednesday busted another drug racket and arrested nine persons, including two foreign nationals. Surprisingly this time again, the law & order authorities recovered high-end narcotics like LSD, MDMA from the peddlers.

Acting on a specific tip-off, the task force sleuth arrested the accused, including a Nigerian national and a South African national, and seized 300 grams of cocaine, 42 grams MDMA (methylenedioxy-methamphetamine) and 27 blots of LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) from their possession.

Apart from LSD stamps and MDMA pills and ecstasy, the sleuth has also recovered LSD-laced biscuits.

"The accused were using dark net and bit coins for payment and getting drugs couriered from Germany. Task force also found that the gang was linked with Goa-based drug peddlers and now has written to Goan counterpart seeking their help in investigation," said DCP Task Force Limba Reddy speaking to India Today.

On July 2nd, the Excise Department had busted a gang of peddlers who were supplying drugs to school children as well as high profile clients including Tollywood celebrities. Based on the interrogation of the arrested persons, the SIT constituted by the department, has summoned 12 Tollywood celebrities including top director Puri Jagannath and actor Ravi Teja for questioning.
