The terror attack in the British capital today on the London Bridge and the Borough Market claimed seven lives and injured over 30 people. Here's a timeline of terror attacks in Europe in the last two years.

London attacks: Timeline of terror siege in last two years

At least seven people were killed by militants who drove a van at high speed into pedestrians on London Bridge and then stabbed revellers in the nearby Borough Market area on Saturday.

All three attackers have been shot dead by police. Over 30 people who were injured in the terror attack were taken to hospital. (London attack in pics)

Police said that the attackers had drove a white van at high speed into pedestrians walking on London Bridge. Eyewitnesses said that armed men wielding knives alighted from the van in Borough Market area on South of Thames.

The men were seen wearing jackets with canisters attached to their bodies. The London Bridge attack is not the first in the recent times.

HERE IS A TIMELINE OF TERROR ATTACKS IN THE LAST TWO YEARS.

On May 22, suicide bomber blew himself up outside a pop concert by musician idol Ariana Grande in Manchester in northwest England. Twenty two people killed and around 116 were injured. The attacker was identified as Salman Abedi (22) and the attack was claimed Islamic State.

On March 22, about five people were killed and over 50 were injured after a man rammed his car into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge in London. The attacker, Khalid Mahmood (52), also stabbed a police officer death. The attack was described as lone-wolf attack as "Islamist related terrorism."

On June 16, 2016, Jo Cox, a British lawmaker was shot and stabbed to death by a person identified as Thomas Mair. The accused was a far-right white nationalist and a pro-Nazi sympathiser.

On December 5, 2015, two people were stabbed at the Leytonstone Underground station, two days after Britain's first air strikes on ISIS in Syria.
