A recent tie-up between the Delhi Police and the Khadi Village Industries Commission (KVIC) will see nearly 85,000 policemen swapping their terry cotton uniforms for khadi. K.S. Rao, deputy CEO of KVIC, says their fabric will keep cops cool in summer and grow the KVIC's coffers by Rs 200 crore.
