Earlier, Tanveer Sait in his defence had said that he will not resign. "I have done no wrong. I am innocent. Hence the question of me resigning does not arise. I was only browsing pictures that were sent on WhatsApp. I was not browsing any website," Sait said.

Meanwhile, the BJP has upped the ante demanding the resignation of the minister. Karnataka BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa has alleged that the chief minister is deliberately delaying action on Tanveer Sait.

The issue will be discussed by the Opposition in the Winter Session.
