The Bihar JD-U's state executive, party legislatures and all Bihar district presidents are with Nitish Kumar and have authorised him to take decisions in this hour of crisis, he added.

Attacking Sharad Yadav who has planned a show of strength in New Delhi on August 17, Tyagi said, "Sharad Yadav has shot an arrow in the dark. This cannot be done without 'Laltern's support'. Lantern is the poll symbol of Lalu Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Sharad Yadav has been addressing RJD workers on his state tour, but not one JD(U) MLA is with him, not one JD(U) district chief with them", claimed Tyagi.

KC TYAGI CALLS SHARAD YADAV, ALI ANWAR OPPORTUNISTS

The JD(U) spokesperson alleged that Sharad Yadav won from Madhepura with the BJP's support in 1999. "Why wasn't communalism an issue then? Even Ali Anwar got elected to Rajya Sabha twice with the BJP's help. Why didn't he protest then", Tyagi said. He also challenged both these leaders to seek re-election.

Tyagi slammed both the leaders' stand on secularism and called them opportunists.

"We have invited all those who disagree with or have differences over Nitish Kumar's decision to ally with the BJP to come for the meeting on the 19th in Patna, but I know they won't turn up", said Tyagi.

"Our joining hands with the NDA will be approved of in the meeting on 19th August", he added. Any decision on BJP's offer to join the government at the Centre or Nitish Kumar becoming co-chairman of NDA will be taken after we formally join the alliance", he added.
