Jayalalithaa's death: Sasikala demands to know charges against her
The jailed AIADMK leader has asked the Arumugasamy Commission, which was set up to probe Jayalalithaa's death, to give the details of the allegations made against her.
VK Sasikala, the jailed leader of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), has asked the Arumugasamy Commission to give the details of the allegations made against her.
The Arumugasamy Commission was set up by the Tamil Nadu government to probe AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa's death.
The commission has been summoning people who have been associated with Jayalalithaa. Her chief secretaries Sheela Balakrishnan and P Rama Mohana Rao, her personal secretary S Poongundran, Apollo Hospital chairperson Prathap C Reddy and the doctors who treated her had earlier appeared before the commission.
Sasikala who was given a summons by the commission on December 23, 2017 and the decision on whether it would be a video conference or a personal appearance was to be decided later.
The summons letter read, "Some of the witness examined in the Commission gave evidence affecting you." Now, Sasikala's letter submitted through her lawyer, requests for information on allegation/accusation that have been made against her.It will be interesting to know who made the allegations and what were the allegations against the "chinamma".
The Arumugasamy Commission that was set up to provide clarity on Jaya's death has also summoned several members of the Sasikala faction.
