In Short

  • Al Mana is Jackson's third husband.
  • The couple married in 2012.
  • They have a son, who was born just months ago.

Just months after Janet Jackson and her Qatari husband Wissam Al Mana had a son, the American singer and actress has broken up with her billionaire beau after five years of marriage, news reports said.

Al Mana is Jackson's third husband. The couple married in 2012.

Now, here's the big question: will Jackson, herself a multi-millionaire, walk away with some of her husband's considerable wealth? If so, how much?

While a Page Six report said its source didn't know of any prenuptial agreements, Vanguard reported that a representative told the news organisation ABC that Jackson and Al Mana signed a prenup that would entitle her to a staggering $500 million - half a billion dollars - if the pair were married for five years.

Jackson and Al Mana will part ways , but won't get divorced, Vanguard's report said.

Now, for another pressing question : why did the couple call it quits?

Page Six quoted sources as saying Jackson came to see her husband as "too controlling," that she didn't like the fact that he didn't spend too much time with her loved ones, and that he didn't react the way she wished him to, to her mother Katherine Jackson's complaints of elder abuse.
