Jammu and Kashmir police approaches state govt to seize property, freeze bank accounts of LeT supporter

Jammu and Kashmir police has approached the state government to seize property of an overground worker of terror outfit LeT.

The development comes in the wake of the Indian Army's joint operation to search terrorists at the Hussanpora Arwani in Kulgam district launched on Wednesday.

Two LeT terrorists had taken shelter in the house of an LeT overground worker, according to the police.

Jammu and Kashmir Police has also initiated the process of having bank accounts of the suspect LeT supporter frozen.

Police plans to make this a standard procedure to confiscate land and property of overground workers.

Arwani encounter is the first case where Jammu and Kashmir Police claims to have evidence of terrorists using house as a base for operations in south Kashmir.
