Jammu Kashmir: Security forces kill 2 militants, including Hizbul district commander

Two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were killed in a brief encounter with security forces on the outskirts of Sopore in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla.

The slain militants have been identified as Parvaiz Ahmad, a Hizbul district commander and Umar Ghazi, which is a code name.

Security forces from the J&K police's Special Operations Group and the 22 RR, acting on specific inputs about the movement of the, cordoned off the area and killed the two in an exchange of fire.

One AK rifle and one pistol was recovered from the killed militants.
