Indian literary geniuses come together this weekend in Capital

Literary fest will bring together acclaimed geniuses like lyricists Javed Akhtar and Prasoon Joshi, acclaimed actors Anupam Kher and Nandita Das, and director Anurag Kashyap.

The biggest stars of the Indian literary world are set to descend upon the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts as part of the first ever Sahitya Aaj Tak festival this weekend. Its set to be an event full of cultural shows, theatre performances as well as talks by eminent scholars, poets, writers, musicians, actors and authors.

Representing Bollywood will be the likes of celebrated lyricists Javed Akhtar and Prasoon Joshi, acclaimed actors Anupam Kher and Nandita Das, and director Anurag Kashyap.

On the literary front, some of the most popular and critically acclaimed writers such as Devdutt Pattanaik, Anuja Chauhan and Chetan Bhagat will offer advice on writing and share stories from their own life. Some of the other famous faces at the event will be Kumar Vishwas, Piyush Mishra, Ashutosh Rana, Kanhaiya Kumar, Kapil Sibal, Najeeb Jung, Hans Raj Hans, Manoj Tiwari, Ashok Vajpeyi and Swanand Kirkire.

Apart from the people on the stage, the ones in the audience will also have a chance to show their mettle. Budding writers will have the opportunity to narrate their scripts, and the channel will also be running a contest wherein interesting pieces would be eligible to win up to Rs 1 lakh as special recognition.

Sahitya Aaj Tak will be held on November 12-13.
