Hyderabad: 3 including TRS legislator's son Snehita Reddy booked in rape case
The girl was raped by her friend Priyatham Reddy at his house at Palm Meadows. She alleged that one Aarav Reddy and TRS legislator Boopathi Reddy's son Snehita also attempted to rape her.
Three people, including a ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) legislator, have been booked in a rape case in Hyderabad.
According to sources, the 24-year-old victim approached the Petbasheerabad police, alleging that she was sexually exploited by her friend on Saturday night.
The victim, a resident of Posh Banjara Hills, went to her friend Priyatham Reddy's house at Palm Meadows in Pet Basheerabad area on Saturday where he raped her.
TRS MLC's SON ACCUSED OF ATTEMPT TO RAPE
One Aarav Reddy and TRS Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Boopathi Reddy's son Snehita also attempted to rape her, she alleged.
Based on the complaint lodged by the victim, police registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC on Sunday but no arrests have been made yet.
It is believed that since all the accused belong to influential families, police is trying to hush up the case.
