Hyderabad drug racket: Kajal Agarwal's manager Rozo Roni becomes 19th arrest

The Special Investigation Team of of Telnagana's Excise and Prohibition Department, which is investigating the massive Hyderabad drug racket, today made a fresh arrest in the case. The SIT arrested Puttkar Ronson Joesph aka Rozo Roni, identified as a celebrity manager who has worked with three top actors, including Kajal Agarwal, in the Telugu film industry.

According to SIT officials, narcotic substances were also recovered during a search of Roni's premises.

Roni's arrest has sent shock waves through Tollywood, which has been rocked by several prominent personalities, including actor P Navdeep, being linked to Calvin Mascarenhas, the alleged kingpin of the high-end drug racket.

Meanwhile, Navdeep today appeared for the questioning after summoned by the investigators. Art Director Dharma Rao aka Chinna has been called in for questioning on Tuesday.

So far, a total of 19 people have been arrested by the SIT in the drug racket case and huge quantities of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) and Methylenedioxy Methamphetamine (MDMA) has been been seized.

The racketeers allegedly supplied high-end party drugs such as LSD and MDMA to employees of multi-national firms, members of the Telugu film industry and students, among others, the investigators have previously said. The racket was busted on July 2.
