While one of them was caught playing loud music in a car, two others were arrested from a function hall while the fourth accused was booked for creating noise pollution during his brother's wedding celebrations.

The city police is taking stern action against those causing noise pollution under the Hyderabad City Police Act, with the aim that punishment acts as a deterrent for others.

The police are also simultaneously educating function hall owners, band parties and wedding organisers to not play loud music.

"We request all function hall owners, band parties to be careful and cooperate with police to curb sound pollution in public interest," said ACP of Gopalapuram division. The officer said violators will have to face strict action.
