Do you know why Honeypreet Insan left her husband Vishwas Gupta after the duo had been happily married for 11 years? Gupta and his family members are wondering what caused Priyanka (Honeypreet) to walk away from the marriage.

After playing hide and seek with Haryana Police for 39 days, Honeypreet Insan was finally arrested on Tuesday. Punjab Police first detained her and then handed her over to Haryana Police, which had been clueless about her whereabouts all these days.

In an India Today interview aired yesterday, Honeypreet had rubbished allegations of her being sexually involved with Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and had claimed instead that the relationship between her and the self-acclaimed godman was that of a daughter and a father. She also refused to speak on the charges levelled against her by Vishwas Gupta.

Honeypreet's arrest has raked up unpleasant memories of the Gupta family, who got Vishwas married to her, believed to be the godman's angel daughter. In an exclusive interview to India Today, Vishwas Gupta laughed off Honeypreet's 'I am being victimised' claim as a sham to garner public sympathy. Questioning Honeypreet for her 39-day-long disappearance, Vishwas asked her to explain what she gained by ruining their married life for a rape-convict rogue Baba.

HONEYPREET, VISHWAS WENT TO MANALI FOR HONEYMOON

It is for the first time that Vishwas Gupta has accepted that Honeypreet and he had a 11-year-long relationship. They were in love with each other and had gone to Manali for their honeymoon. They loved each other's company until Gurmeet Ram Rahim came into their lives. The pictures of their honeymoon are proof of the fact that they actually enjoyed being with each other for the 11 years they spent together.

"A thief will never accept that he is a thief. The allegations levelled by me are true and I stand by them. Honeypreet and Baba live like a couple and their relationship was not that of a daughter and a father, as claimed by her. If Honeypreet is innocent, she should tell the world why Gurmeet Ram Rahim's biological daughters did not accompany him. Why he only asked her to come along. She is speaking the Baba's language. Initially, he had said that he was facing a threat from the drug mafia as he opposed them. Why did Honeypreet fear drug cartels", says Vishwash Gupta.

According to Vishwas Gupta, Honeypreet was a homely daughter-in-law till 2009. Post that, she left her home and started living with Gurmeet Ram Rahim. Vishwas said that Ram Rahim and Honeypreet planned to have a child and wanted to make him the successor of the Dera Sacha Sauda.

VISHWAS MAKES EXPLOSIVE CLAIM

"I was aware of this. We were once in Gurusar Modia when one fine morning, Honeypreet came from Ram Rahim's cave and said that Baba was talking about our child. I told her that only the Baba could answer when would that happen as she was spending most of the time with him. Honeypreet wanted to use my name for Gurmeet Ram Rahim's child. She has nothing to say now as nothing is left with her. I have seen everything on my own. In 2011, we were in Gurmeet Ram Rahim's cave (Gufa). I saw them nude, having sex. They had threatened me and my family of dire consequences if I spoke up about it. I had left Dera after that incident", Vishwas said.

Vishwas refused to respond when asked what was Honeypreet's reaction when he had caught her with Gurmeet Ram Rahim in a compromising position.

"This is a very personal question and a highly emotional one. My heart pains when you ask this time and again. She has been my wife for 11 years. I am neither joking nor scripting a drama", he said.

Vishwas' father Mahendra Gupta, who had joined the Dera Sacha Sauda way back in 1970, has accused Honeypreet Insan of destroying the image of four families including her own and Baba's.

According to Mahendra Gupta, the marriage between Vishwas Gupta and Honeypreet was fixed by Gurmeet Ram Rahim himself. Baba had first called Honeypreet's grandfather, who used to run a tyre shop and belonged to Fatehabad.

HONEYPREET, VISHWAS TOGETHER FROM 1999 TO 2009

"She remained our daughter-in-law for 11 years from 1999 to December 30, 2009. We had a beautiful relationship. She behaved like any other common Indian daughter-in-law and respected us. We had no problems with her. But in 2009, she accepted Ram Rahim as her second husband and never came back. She had been a Dera follower even before her marriage", Mahendra said.

Mahendra has also accused Honeypreet of ruining four families. He said she first sullied the name of her own parents, who have gone into hiding out of the shame she has brought them. "She also maligned our family. She was our daughter-in-law and then she left us. She also spoiled her own life. Being a girl, she hid herself at various places for 39 days. She has also defamed Gurmeet Ram Rahim. Look what TV channels have been showing for the last 39 days about them", her former father-in-law added.

Honeypreet not only ruined her married life with Vishwas Gupta, but also her own. Her tears will do little to move anyone as this is all a mess of her own making.
