In response to these allegations, Kumaraswamy has hit out at the BJP saying, "I know where this letter was typed and by whom was it sent."

The former CM told India Today that G Parameshwara, President, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) denied knowing anybody by the name of Venkatesh Gowda. He went on to add that this was done by the BJP to destroy his image since the voters have decided to vote for him.

HDK took a swipe at the BJP saying, "For this election I need money and hence I am requesting them to please use my property information and give me Rs 300-400 crores."
