Haryana may have returned from the brink of a caste war last year but some bureaucrats are hell bent to push the state to the dark again.

The alleged telephonic conversation between the Hansi SDM, DSP, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and his Principal Secretary Rajesh Khullar clearly point towards a caste divide in the state.

While the Jats are on the roads from the last week once again to push their demand for reservations, bureaucrats in the state are playing their cards.

The alleged conversation between Hansi DSP Surender Kadiyan and SDM Prashant Atkan which still stands unverified has exposed a particular community, which according to him appears to be on the warpath again.

The SDM has accused DSP of inaction as he did not take action against the Jats who were posting provocative posts on social media. The officer also alleged that the community that had assured that their agitation will be peaceful were drinking during the protests. The liquor was being served to them in the broad-day light in illegal vehicles. The officer also claimed that the protesters used derogatory language against the chief minister who is a non-Jat.

CONVERSATION BETWEEN SDM AND DSP

Interestingly, the DSP who is a Jat tells the SDM during the conversation that he only reports to his seniors and not to him. When the SDM tells him that he is authorised to seek reports, the DSP says he will not report to him and is also ready to give this in writing.

The cop says he has not received any such order from his seniors.

In another alleged conversation, the SDM is also heard speaking to CM Khattar and Principal Secretary Khullar.

The officer during the conversation also tells Khattar that the DSP is 'ill- mannered' and the protesters are talking about violence. He also demands more powers for himself and while revealing his full name and batch year. The SDM also tells the CM that the DSP is a Jat, besides naming some villages referring to them as 'rogue' Jat villages.

Interestingly, both the CM and Khullar let the officer talk about a particular caste.
