Nepal Police said that it may not be able to arrest Honeypreet, if found in Nepal, as no case has been registered against her in the country. Haryana Police is yet to approach the Nepal government on the issue.

It's on the basis of the statement given by Pradeep Goyal, in-charge of Udaipur Dera Sacha Sauda, that police is now zeroing in on possible hideouts of Honeypreet in Nepal. Goel was arrested from Udaipur on Saturday and was brought to Panchkula yesterday. He was produced in the court which sent him to a 7-day police custody.

Dera Sacha Sauda boasts of a big follower base in Nepal. Ram Rahim had visited Nepal in May 2015 after earthquake hit the country and had distributed relief material to the victims.

Earlier this week, police in Bihar, which shares a border with Nepal, had upped vigil in order to apprehend Honeypreet before she could escape to Nepal.

Alok Raj, ADG (Law & Order), Bihar Police, had said that colleagues in Haryana had contacted them and requested cooperation in order to arrest Honeypreet.

Following the request, Bihar Police stepped up vigil in seven bordering district: West Champaran, East Champaran, Supaul, Madhubani, Sitamarhi, Araria and Kishanganj.

Buses, private vehicles, and cabs were allowed to cross the border into Nepal only after thorough checking.

Meanwhile, another top Dera aide Vipassana Insan has also allegedly gone into hiding after the police had asked her to join the investigation. According to the Dera sources, she had left for Gursar Modia, Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan to hand over some Dera papers to Jasmeet Singh Insan, son of Gurmeet Ram Rahim.

Vipassana has not return to Sirsa and has now switched off her mobile phones. Sources say she has gone into hiding fearing a police action. It is worth mentioning here that, Vipassana had provided a car to Honeypreet on August 25 when she was in Rohtak.

She had also allegedly received a phone call from Honeypreet. Police wanted to get Vipasana's help to trace the whereabouts of Honeypreet besides Dera Spokesperson Dr Aditya Insan. The trio are close confidants of jailed Dera chief and know many secrets about his life, earnings and wrongdoings.
