A Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) translator turned 'rogue' to marry an ISIS fighter whom she was assigned to investigate. The woman identified as Daniela Greene has been awarded two-year jail sentence by a court in the United States for running away to Syria in 2014 to marry her ISIS lover.

Daniela Greene lied to the FBI about where she was going and warned her new husband he was under investigation, a report in CNN said quoting to federal court records.

THE ISIS MAN FBI AGENT FELL FOR

Greene, who joined the FBI in 2011 was tasked to probe German-born Denis Cuspert also known as Abu Talha al-Almani for his alleged links with the Islamic State in January 2014.

In 2012, Cuspert fled Germany and travelled to Egypt and Libya. The man later emerged as 'ISIS's celebrity cheerleader.'

Media reports said Greene, 38, was smitten by Denis Cuspert, a budding rapper as soon as she started initiated her secret investigation. By June 2014, she was planning to marry him.

The two married in Syria later that month. However, Daniela Greene later decided to return to her home country where she was arrested upon arrival.

Greene now works as a hostess in a hotel lounge, the CNN reported.
