Militants make appearance, give gun salute at funeral of slain comrade in Kulgam
Reports suggest that four militants appeared near the village and fired in the air apparently to pay respect to Fayaz Ahmad alias Setha, who was killed in yesterday's ambush in Mir Bazar area of Anantnag.
In a shocking turn of events, Lashkar terrorists turned up at the funeral of their dead comrade in Qaimoh area of Kulgam district of south Kashmir on Sunday. The gunmen could be seen firing several shots in the air.
Reports suggest that four militants appeared near the village and fired in the air apparently to pay respect to Fayaz Ahmad alias Setha, who was killed in yesterday's ambush in Mir Bazar area of Anantnag.
Fayaz was involved in the Udhampur highway attack on a Border Security Force convoy in August 2015. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh on him.
Yesterday the militants had attacked a police party. The attack left a policeman, three civilians dead. Fayaz was also killed in the gunfire.
Meanwhile, thousands of people attended his last rites in Qaimoh.
