Ocean's duo

Come October and the world can tune in to the 'dream pop' of Kolkata-based duo Nischay Parekh and Jivraj Singh, with the release of their first album Ocean. The band, called Parekh & Singh (formerly Zap) went international this year when they signed up with UK indie label Peacefrog Records.

Enter stage

Rehaan Engineer, who played the lead role in the 2001 indie Everybody Says I'm Fine!, brings Caryl Churchill's play Far Away to the stage for the first time in India. He will be directing actors Kalki Koechlin, Sheeba Chadha and Vivek Bomber.

London calling

Sonakshi Sinha is off to London to start shooting for Noor. The Akira actor plays a journalist in the upcoming film, based on Saba Imtiaz's novel Karachi! You're Killing Me. The film also stars funny man Kanan Gill, Purab Kohli and Shibani Dandekar. But before this, Sonakshi stars with John Abraham in Force 2, releasing in November.

Turkish delight

Firat Celik, the Turkish-German actor known for the Turkish drama Fatmagul, will attend the Jio MAMI festival in Mumbai. His film 8 Seconds is among the 10 Turkish films to be screened at the festival beginning October 20.
