Former Lucknow Mayor and UP Dy. Chief Minister Dr. Dinesh Sharma has said that there is a huge flaw in the thought process of former Vice President of India, Hamid Ansari, and the government sees no difference between Hindus and Muslims.
Talking to India Today in Agra where he had arrived to attend a function at the Dr. BR Ambedkar University, Dr. Sharma said that India is a secular country and both Hindus and Muslims have equal opportunities to thrive in this country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has formed a governing principle 'Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas' and all BJP governments throughout the country are following this.
He said that he would not comment on the people who claim that they are scared under the BJP rule, but his government only offers equal chances to everyone, without creating any distinctions between religions and communities.
Asked why the government wants videography to be conducted in Madarsas on August 15, whereas schools have been exempted from this, he said that this is just to document what cultural activities were conducted in the Madarsas on Independence Day and to decide which Madarsa's program was the best. He said that the Yogi government is functioning a lot better than its predecessors and the people's grievances are now being heard and resolved at a war footing.
Government servants are shying away from demanding bribes while in the previous governments no work was done without demanding bribe. Special attention is being paid on the law and order situation of the state. The number of children studying in basic schools has shown a marked increase and the level of education has also improved a lot.
Asked about the government's response on the Gorakhpur incident where over 60 children have reportedly died due to lack of oxygen, he said that an inquiry is being set up into the incident and whoever is found responsible for it, will not be spared. He assured that the government will take steps to ensure that such an incident is not repeated and there is ample availability of oxygen in every hospital.
