Rain in Delhi-NCR brings relief from smog, dust
Delhi witnesses scanty showers early morning. The rain is expected to bring down the levels of pollution that have plagued Delhi for the last few weeks.
Delhi as well as other parts of National Capital Region (NCR) received scattered rain early on Saturday.
Apart from bringing the temperature down, the rain is likely to help clear some of the pollution that left Delhiites gasping for fresh air. The rain, is also expected to lessen the smog.
A private weather forecasting firm said the rains caused PM2.5 particles to drop to 152 and PM10 to 240.

The early morning drizzle comes a day after Gurgaon saw rainfall.
Delhiites managed to breathe easy on Friday after weeks of severe air pollution. The air quality turned better and remained outside the 'severe plus' category for the fourth day.
Environment Minister Harsh Vardhan had said the ministry was "continuously" pursuing the issue of air pollution control in the national capital.
He said the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) had also called a meeting with the implementing agencies to review the actions being taken for better air quality in the Delhi-NCR.
