Delhi: Woman involved in drug trafficking arrested, 1 kg heroin worth Rs 1 crore recovered
The woman was arrested by Delhi Police Crime Branch near the Wazirabad flyover at the Ring Road.

Delhi Police Crime Branch busted an interstate gang of drug peddlers with the arrest of a woman Chander Kala. The crime branch also recovered 1 kg of fine quality heroin.
On December 16, an information was received by the crime branch that Kala was indulged in the supply of heroin in Delhi after procuring it from Bareilly. The information further entailed that Kala would come near the Wazirabad flyover at the Ring Road leading towards Majnu Ka Tila to deliver the heroin to one Javed, who used to supply heroin in Mangolpur and Sultanpuri area.
Delhi Police Crime Branch laid the trap:
- A trap was laid near the Wazirabad flyover and the woman was apprehended. During the search, 1 kg heroin was recovered from her possession.
- The heroine is worth Rs 1 crore in international market.
- Kala was born in Delhi. She is married and has 2 children.
- Her younger son is a smack addict. He used to take heroin from other drug peddlers.
- Due to bad habits of her son, she came in contact with the friend of his son and once visited to Bareilly to bring heroin for the use of her son in small quantity from unknown person.
- A person namely Khan met her through one Mohit, who was a friend of her son.
- Khan lured her to earn huge amount by selling heroin. He also promised her to provide heroin in bulk quantity from time to time.
- Kala fell in his trap and started selling heroin in Delhi in retail after procuring it from Khan.
