Clashes after Friday prayers in Srinagar, Pulwama and Sopore

Clashes erupted between protesters and security forces after Friday prayers in Srinagar and Pulwama.

Protesting youth pelted stones in Nowhatta area of Srinagar on police and CRPF after Friday prayers.

Mirwaiz Omar Farooq was not allowed to lead Friday prayers and was kept under house arrest.

Police controlled the protesters by using tear gas shells.

Similarly protesters in Pulwama and Sopore pelted stones on security forces. Situation was brought under control by police.
