CBI arrests Western Coalfields employee for accepting bribe

CBI arrested the assistant manager of Western Coalfields in Chandrapur of Maharashtra for accepting bribe.

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested an Assistant Manager, Murpar, Western Coalfields Limited, District Chandrapur (Maharashtra) for demanding and accepting a bribe.

A case was registered against Assistant Manager, Murpar, Western Coalfields Limited, District Chandrapur on the allegations of demanding an illegal gratification from the complainant (WCL employee) for allotment of duty to him on holidays for which the complainant would get extra remuneration from the WCL.

CBI laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed while demanding and accepting part payment from the complainant.
Searches were conducted at the residence of the accused which led to recovery of incriminating documents and cash of Rs.1.70 lakh

The arrested accused was produced before the Special Judge, Chandrapur and remanded to police custody till Thursday.
