Kerala: Cashew baron arrested for raping housemaid from Odisha
Rajmohan Pillai, popularly known as cashew baron from Kerala, has been arrested for raping his housemaid from Odisha.

A 53-year-old cashew businessman was arrested for allegedly raping and impregnating a 23-year-old house maid from Odisha.
The accused has been identified as Rajmohan Pillai, who is also the younger brother of biscuit baron Rajan Pillai, who died in Tihar jail in 1995 after being arrested in a fraud case.
The incident came to light when the woman approached a hospital in Thiruvananthapuram for abortion. Sources said that the woman was reportedly sent to the hospital by Rajmohan and his aides.
One of the doctors who could not understand the woman asked her colleague from Odisha to inquire.
It was upon talking to the woman that she told tha she was being sexually abused by Rajmohan. The hospital authorities reportedly informed the Trivandrum Police.
The woman told the police that she has been working as a domestic help at Rajmohan's residence for the past eight months.
In her statement, she revealed that she had been sexually assaulted multiple times during her tenure as housemaid.
Police said that the woman has been transferred to a shelter home. Rajmohan has been booked under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code.
