Buses set on fire after BSP leader Rajesh Yadav shot dead in Allahabad
Bahujan Samaj Party leader Rajesh Yadav was shot dead at the Allahabad University's Tara Chandra Hostel.
In a late night incident, Bahujan Samaj Party leader Rajesh Yadav was shot dead at the Allahabad University's Tara Chandra Hostel.
Immediately after Yadav's murder, the university students as well as BSP workers took to the streets to protest the murder.
In the ensuing melee, the protesters also blocked the road and burned roadways buses.
The police was forced to resort to lathicharging the protesters after the the situation spiraled out of control and the protesters began pelting stones at the security forces.
Family members revealed Yadav had left home late in the evening with his doctor friend Mukul. Soon after Rajesh Yadav was shot, Mukul, believing him to be injured, rushed Yadav to his hospital where he was declared dead.
Soon after shooting Yadav, the assailants even resorted to damaging the BSP leader's Toyota Fortuner.So far the police have not been able to ascertain the reason behind Yadav's murder and are looking for the assailants.
