Patna: Congress leader Brajesh Pandey accused of molesting minor Dalit girl demands her narco test

Bihar Congress leader Brajesh Pandey, who is accused of sexually molesting a minor Dalit girl, surfaced on Wednesday evening after staying underground ever since the allegations were levelled against him.
Pandey, refuting all charges against him, has demanded that a narco test be conducted on the victim girl in order to get to the truth behind the incident. Pandey, who was the vice-president of the party resigned from his post on Tuesday night over the allegations.
"I want a narco test of the victim girl to be done to establish whether I have sexually exploited the girl. All allegations against me are wrong and baseless," said Brajesh Pandey, the Congress leader.

He claimed that the onslaught on him was a well plotted conspiracy of the BJP as he was the elder brother of a well known journalist. Pandey, however, admitted knowing the girl for past few months.
"This is a conspiracy of the BJP to malign me and end my political career. It's a political conspiracy against me. I am being targeted because I am brother of a journalist. I have met the victim girl also three-four times at public place. The girl is like my daughter," said Brajesh Pandey.
The Congress leader has been made a non-FIR accused in the case where he has been booked under Protection of Children against Sexual Offences since the girl is a minor. Pandey's name also figured in a police report for being part of a well organised sex racket, which allegedly was being run by an automobile dealer Nikhil Priyadarshi. Priyadarshi is the son of a retired IAS officer.
" We may arrest Brajesh Pandey, if any evidence is found against him. Till now, investigations are going on," said Sunil Kumar, ADG Headquarters, Bihar Police.
