Chitrangada Singh was in Kolkata to unveil the Scotch Whisky Collection, a collection of three different Scotch labels that include Black Dog Vat 69 and Black & White. The actor talks to SimplyKolKata about films, stardom, fashion and ofcourse, poison of choice.

Q. Since you're promoting the Scotch Whisky Collection as an ideal gifting option, what is the favourite gift you have been gifted?
A.It was a beautiful pair of teardrop shaped solitaires that my mom gifted me. She knew that was my favourite shape and they were stunning and outrageously expensive.

Q.Do you prefer whisky or wine?
A.I prefer wines, but I am also learning to appreciate fine scotches and single malts. It's something that has always been a part of my life since my father was in the Army and they love their Scotch. I am waking up to the idea that women can enjoy a single Malt or a Scotch too.

Q. You tweeted about coming to Kolkata. What's your favourite form of social media?
A. I think Twitter is the only thing I use. I don't understand Snapchat. It is quite beyond me.

Q. People loved you in Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi. When can we expect to see you back on the big screen?
A.I would love to work with anyone who is edgy and different. I really hope I can break the jinx soon.

Q. You were once compared to Smita Patil after Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi. Are there other actresses who you look upto?
A.That was a long time ago. Obviously, it is a huge compliment to be compared to someone like Smita Patil and I can ask no more. She is such an icon.

Q.

Do you have any favourite style icons?
A.I think style is something inherent to you and it never works to copy another's style sensibilities. I love all the yesteryear icons. But I particularly love Kangana Ranaut's sartorial choices.

Q. What's the most stylish city according to you that you love being in?
A.London has always been a favourite destination and it feels like home.

Q. What is your wildest dream?
A.I would love to be in Africa when it's the season for the animals to migrate. I'd like to be on a helicopter, watching hordes of wildebeests migrate and kicking up the dust towards the horizon. I have heard that it is a spectacular sight.
