Modi congratulates Devendra Fadnavis after BJP hits new high in Maharashtra civic elections
In a series of tweets after the results to the civic elections in ten municipal corporations, including BMC, were announced, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also mentioned BJP's performance in Odisha panchayat elections.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has thanked the people of Maharashtra for BJP's impressive performance in the just-concluded civic elections in the state. He also congratulated Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and BJP's state president Raosaheb Patil Danve for their relentless work among the people.
In a series of tweets after the results to the civic elections in ten municipal corporations, including BMC, were announced, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also mentioned BJP's performance in Odisha panchayat elections. The results in Odisha were announced on Wednesday. Of the total 849 seats, BJP increased its tally from 36 in 2012 to 306, an increase by 8.5 times.
