On March 16, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav laid the foundation stone in Vrindavan for what is being described as the world's biggest temple. Built by Bangalore-based Akshay Patra Foundation, the Vrindavan temple will be spread on 60 acres and will cost Rs 400 crore. Senior Congress leaders such as Pradeep Mathur and Rajeev Shukla were present on the occasion, as were several Samajwadi Party workers-yet it didn't come under the Election Commission scanner. Smart move.
