Shah versus shahenshah

He is incorrigible, some say, and he loves it when they do. After defeating Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the Lok Sabha polls in Amritsar last summer, former Punjab CM Amarinder Singh is all set to return to his constituency-the Holy City-on January 22. This time, the 'maharaja' of Patiala aimed to upset the plans of another BJP heavyweight, Amit Shah, who was slated to fly in to launch the saffron party's campaign against drugs. Singh planned to stage demonstrations blaming the Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP government, Shah included, for rampant drug abuse in the state. But a day after Singh announced his plan, Shah cancelled his trip to Amritsar. The official reason given by the BJP: Shah will be busy with the Delhi polls.
