Nasser Ahmed, an active militant of the terrorist outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen was apprehended by Shashastra Seema Bal, Lucknow Frontier on May 13. Ahmed is an active Hizbul militant, who had been residing in Pakistan since September 2003.

Nasser has been involved in many violent crimes against civilians as well as security forces including an attack on the STF camp. He was sent to India by his handler, for a specific mission.

34-year-old Hizbul militant Nasser Ahmed aka Sadiq, is a resident of Dolgam village, Banihal of Ramban district in Jammu and Kashmir. He was trying to sneak in India from Nepal as a kashmiri shawl and carpet vendor in disguise. When he was asked for his identity, he was unable to produce any supporting documents.

Subsequently, Nasser was searched. Following which, a Pakistani passport and an identity card were recovered from his possession.

NASSER AHMED'S TRAINING

  • Initially, Nasser was trained by the militants operating in Banhial and adjoining areas of Jammu and Kashmir. He was involved in terrorist activities in Banihal area along with Hizbul militants since 2002.
  • In the year 2003, he crossed over to Pakistan, along with a group of 23 persons and joined Hizb-ul-Mujahideen.
  • Ahmed received a formal arms training in Pakistan occupied Kashmir for three months.
  • He also received physical training for a year at a place called Atak by Hizbul, ISI and Pakistan Army instructors, with an aim of waging war against India and to fight with Indian Security Forces in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
  • He was trained to operate weapons like AK-47, AK-56, SLR, Rocket Launcher, Assault Rifle and grenades.
AFTER THE COMPLETION OF THE TRAINING
  • After the completion of his training, Ahmed stayed at various Hizbul camps including Abbotabad district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province (2004-2006), Gharhi Habibullah, Distt- Manshera (2006-08) Jangal Magar, Distt- Manshera, KPK (2008-09).
  • Nasser used to preach Quran to Hizb-ul-Mujahideen cadres during his stay at these camps.

On a mission in India, Naseer Ahmed landed in Kathmandu on May 10 from Faislabaad (Pakistan) via Sharjah (UAE), along with his accomplice namely Mohd Shafi. They separated in Kathmandu.

After which, Nasser boarded a bus to reach the Indo-Nepal Border, with the intention to sneak in the Indian Territory and with the motive to carry out terrorist activities in India.
