Following a hit and run incident villagers in Mandsaur chased a car and thrashed its driver.

It is a case of hit and run with a slightly tragic twist that happened near the Pipaliya toll booth in Mandsaur today.
The owners of this car had rammed an old man near Piplaiya on Tuesday afternoon and fled the spot. Villagers saw the accident and chased the car on their bikes for around two kilometers.
Once the car was caught at the Pipaliya toll booth this is what the villagers did. They smashed the car and thrashed the driver and the man sitting next to him.
The owner of the car has been identified as Dharmendra and the co-passenger is his brother.
Both own a garment shop named Kamal Nath Garments at Pipalia mandi.
Police was called by the toll plaza employees and it took around 15 minutes for the cops to reach the spot.
The two hit and run accused were eventually rescued by the police and taken to the Piplaia Mandi police station.
Six youths who thrashed the two have also been identified and a case has been registered against them.
In the end right wing groups also reached the police station and tried to give the incident a communal colour. Tension is building up in the area but the situation is under complete control, police said.
