Kumily: The SNDP has called for a dawn-to dusk hartal in Idukki district on Tuesday to protest the attack on Nedumkandam Sakha building.
The attack took place on Monday during the election to SNDP Nedumkandam Sakha governing council in Udumbanchola.
Alleging that the attack was carried out with the backing of CPM district committee, the SNDP said police remained mute spectators.
SNDP office-bearers said the miscreants continuously hurled stones at the building. The office and vehicle parked on its premises sustained damages in stone pelting.
