Kochi: NCP national general secretary T P Peethambaran Master has said that there will not be a replacement for A K Saseendran soon in the cabinet.
Speaking to Mathrubhumi News, Peethambaran Master said that the discussions about the new minister will start only after ascertaining the veracity of the allegations against Saseendran.
"If the allegations are proved true, action will be taken against Saseendran. It is essential that public activists follow decency. Such actions should not happen at all. It is not clear whether there is a conspiracy behind the allegation. Saseendran has resigned on moral grounds. I have talked to national president Sharad Pawar on the issue," he said.
NCP state president Uzhavoor Vijayan said that neither the party or government had pressurised Saseendran to resign. NCP MLA Thomas Chandy said that he is not thinking about the ministership now.
Transport Minister A K Saseendran resigned from the cabinet in the wake of alleged obscene talk over phone.
