Missing Kerala woman Nimisha sends message to relatives from Afghanistan

The message reportedly came from a mobile number starting with code +93

Thiruvananthapuram: Nimisha, one among the 21 missing Keralites who are feared to have left the country to join Islamic State, has reportedly sent a text message to her in-laws from Afghanistan.

Nimisha, who converted to Islam and changed her name to Fathima, has been missing along with her husband Eza alias Bexon Vincent and his brother. Nimisha is a native of Attukaal in Thiruvananthapuram and Bexon hails from Palakkad.

The message, which came from a mobile number starting with code +93, stated that she has given birth to a baby girl. Nimisha was pregnant when she went missing. The +93 code belongs to Afghanistan.

Eza’s father Vincent said that he had informed the matter to the police. Nimisha’s mother Bindu was informed about the message by Eza’s parents. Bindu has also informed the matter to top officials including the DGP.
