Kannur: A Marathi youth threatened to end life after climbing a tree here on Wednesday.
The youth was serving in L&T Company which has undertaken the construction works of Kannur airport. Recently, he was dismissed from service and to protest the same he climbed upon the tree near the Labour Court and threated to commit suicide.
On information, the Fire and Rescue Services personnel arrived at the spot and attempted to pacify him. Finally, he relented after the officials assured him that he would be reinstated.
