Vadakancherry (Thrissur): No bail was granted to Nehru group of Institutions chairman P Krishnadas in a case relating to harassment of a student at the Lakkidi college. The Vadakancherry Court denied bail for Krishnadas, who is the first accused in the case.
The court also denied bail to Vatsakumar and Govindan, the 5th and 7th accused in the case. The 6th accused Sukumaran was the only one who was given bail. The prosecution argued that if bail is granted, then the accused, who is an influential person, could destroy the evidences.
