Kozhikode: BJP leader K Surendran has asked former Vanitha League president Kamarunnisa Anwar not to tolerate the insults levelled at her by her party men.
In a Facebook post, Surendran says that the policies implemented by Modi government is attracting everyone and Kamarunissa Anwar had the sincerity to admit this.
"Though Kamarunnisa expressed regret due to pressure from the party, she is a leader who has guts. There are two options in front of her. Either she can continue to suffer insults, or she can remain firm on her stand to serve society and help Muslim women who are facing difficulties. The society hopes that she will adopt the second way," Surendran said.
After triggering a controversy by praising BJP, Kamarunnisa Anwar had apologised to her party following which proceedings were dropped against her.
