New Delhi: The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) apprehended a Pakistani fishing boat with nine crew members on Friday.

According to a Spokesperson, the ICG Ship C-408 apprehended the boat in Indian waters during its routine EEZ patrol off the Gujarat coast.
The boat was escorted to Jakhau Port in Gujarat. The crew members have been handed over to the police for further investigation.
The police are interrogating the crew as they attempted to flee soon after the ICG Ship closed in on them.
The boat bears the name ‘Karachi Pakistan’ and was carrying around 30 kgs of fish.
Initial investigations have revealed that the boat had departed from Shah Bunder port in Pakistan on March 23.
