Despite the bad weather yesterday in the Northern Division Vodafone Fiji Limited welcomed enthusiastic customers during their one-day clearance sale at the Labasa Civic Centre.
Customer Salvindra Prasad, 29, of Batinikama was amazed to see the slashed prices on some of the latest mobile gadgets. He took home two tablets.
“This is just great and we are very grateful to Vodafone for such an initiative,” Mr Prasad said.
Mr Prasad said some phones were expensive for people to buy, but yesterday saw the opportunity for many to buy models they were never able to afford.
Meanwhile, a similar one-day sale was held in Lautoka.
Vodafone Fiji chief marketing officer, Sanjeewa Parera said the sales followed the success of the mega clearance sale in Tamavua last month.
“Our aim is to clear our warehouse and prepare for the new stock of phones and devices that are compatible with our latest 4G network and we are overwhelmed by the turnout of the customers,” Mr Parera said. Customers who made it to the sale took bags of great deals from basic, internet and smart phones of various models from Nokia, Alcatel, Samsung and Apple products with accessories at extremely discounted prices.
The sale in Labasa continued until 5pm with many still to flocking in at the very last hour.
