Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers will join teammates Melvin Gordon and Casey Hayward in Orlando this week.

Rivers has been named to the AFC roster for the 2017 Pro Bowl, the team announced Tuesday.

Initially selected as a second-alternate, Rivers replaces Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger, who is unable to participate due to injury.

Rivers finished with 4,386 passing yards in 2016, good enough for fifth in the NFL and the fifth-highest single-season total in his career. He threw 33 touchdown passes, which ranked fourth in the league.

However, Rivers also threw a career-high 21 interceptions in 2016.

Rivers makes the Pro Bowl for the sixth time in his 13-year career.
